Wings coming to a WorldSBK race near you in 2018?

Wings, or aerodynamic packages as manufacturers like to call them, could soon be coming to a WorldSBK racetrack near you after the sports governing body made some adjustments to the regulations.

Should a homologated bike, like Aprilia’s RSV4 for example, roll out of the factory with wings attached to its fairing, then it will be allowed to race but aftermarket bolt-ons a la MotoGP will not.

Conversely, electronic or semi-electronic suspension, first introduced by Yamaha and then banned in about two seconds, which is now on some of the Kawasaki ZX-10RR models, will still be outlawed.
